TROUBLESHOOTING

Troubleshooting after a PC optimization

Work backward from a new problem, preserve evidence, and use documented recovery options.

Stop adding changes

If performance or reliability gets worse, pause further optimization. Record what changed and when the problem began. A sequence of additional tweaks can make the cause much harder to identify.

This page contains general diagnostic guidance. Specific Radiant Optimizer recovery menus and procedures are pending hands-on verification on Windows.

Capture the problem

Record the software version, Windows build, graphics driver, affected game or application, exact error text, and recent changes. Keep your baseline results and any export or change log the software provides.

Note whether the problem appears in a repeatable scene, after a restart, or in other applications. A screenshot of an error is more useful than a vague description of “low FPS.”

Reverse a documented change

If the problem followed one identifiable setting, use the reversal instructions supplied for that setting in your installed software version. Restart if those instructions require it, then repeat the same test.

Do not guess at registry edits or service names. If you cannot identify the reversal path, ask the vendor before making more system changes. Back up important files before using a broader recovery procedure.

Check the comparison conditions

A changed game build, shader compilation, different temperature, background download, or driver update can affect a benchmark. Verify the conditions before concluding that an optimization caused the change.

Retest several times under matching conditions. If your results vary more than the claimed improvement, the evidence is inconclusive. Use our testing checklist to rebuild a consistent comparison.

Ask the publisher for help

Use the support channel linked on the official website. Include the recorded versions, setting name, symptoms, and steps that reproduce the issue. Do not post license keys, payment information, or private account details in public support channels.

If Windows is unstable or cannot start, use the recovery documentation for your actual Windows version or seek qualified help. This page does not provide an unverified boot-repair recipe.
