SETUP

Getting started with Radiant Optimizer

A controlled setup workflow: prepare, record a baseline, change one thing, and test again.

Start with a baseline

Before changing Windows, decide what problem you are trying to improve: low average FPS, irregular frame delivery, or a specific stability issue. A clear question makes your test useful.

Use the same game build, resolution, quality settings, and repeatable scene for every run. Save your original settings and raw results. See our testing method for the recording checklist.

Prepare a recovery path

Back up important files and note any existing manual tweaks. Identify how you will reverse a change before applying it. Do not assume every computer has a working recovery point.

The publisher says its optimizations are reversible and that the application creates a restore point before applying changes. That is a vendor statement; we have not verified this behavior. Confirm the recovery options in your installed version before proceeding.

Download and inspect the application

Use the official download guide. Installation and optimization are separate steps. Opening an application does not mean you need to enable every available option.

Read the description of a setting, its scope, and its recovery instructions. If those are unclear, leave it unchanged and ask the publisher. This guide is a general testing workflow, not a verified walkthrough of the current software’s menus.

Change one variable at a time

Write down the exact option you change. Follow any restart instruction from the software. Avoid changing graphics settings, installing drivers, or adding other tuning tools in the same comparison.

After a change, repeat the same benchmark runs. Also check normal use: game launch, audio, networking, peripherals, and application stability. A higher average FPS does not outweigh a new reliability problem.

Decide whether to keep it

Compare the distribution of repeated runs, not just the highest result. If the difference is similar to ordinary run-to-run variation, describe it as inconclusive.

If a setting causes a regression, use its documented reversal procedure and repeat the baseline test. See troubleshooting if you cannot isolate the change. Consider the paid edition only after understanding what extra functionality you need.
